| Description | Yucca schidigera (Yucca schidigera). Also known as phoenix tail yucca, thorn leaf king orchid, pineapple flower. Perennial evergreen stemless plant. Root leaves sword-shaped, 76 cm long and 3 cm wide, spatulate, apex suddenly narrowed, forming a hard prickly tip with a long line curled at the margin; Inflorescences paniculate, up to 4 m high, borne at the center of the whole plant, flowers cup-shaped pendulous, nearly white to 10 cm long, late summer flowering. |
